SIAC Gateway FAQs
General
SIAC Gateway is a web-based platform that allows you to manage your arbitration cases with SIAC online. It provides cloud-based electronic filing, online payment, in-system document upload and storage, and case management, all designed to improve your arbitration experience with SIAC.
Please go to the SIAC website to access Gateway on SIAC’s Home page or access it via this link SIAC Gateway - Singapore International Arbitration Centre. To access the e-filing portal, you may use this link SIAC E-Filing Portal.
If you have any questions or feedback about SIAC Gateway, you can contact us at gateway-help@siac-staging.cloudwps.net.
Gateway is compatible and accessible through common web browsers like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. Please ensure your browser is updated to the latest version.
The platform is available round the clock and can be accessed from your laptops and desktop computers.
The platform is optimised for use with laptops and desktops, offering full functionality. Tablet users may experience reduced functionality, and the system is not currently compatible with mobile phones.
There is currently no mobile app available for Gateway.
Please contact us at gateway-help@siac-staging.cloudwps.net and indicate the email subject as ‘Password Reset’. Alternatively, you may contact the SIAC Case team in charge of the administration of your case.
Login credentials for the Arbitrator and Parties portals are sent via email. Please check your spam folder if you do not see the email in your inbox.
If a filing submission fails, users should first check the file size and ensure it meets the platform’s upload capacity. The upload size limit for submission during e-filing is 500 MB.
Additionally, users should verify that all required fields are filled out correctly, as incomplete forms can cause submission errors.
If issues persist, users should contact the SIAC Case team in charge of your case for assistance.
The platform has specific storage and upload limits in place. Users should be aware of these limits to avoid submission errors.
The upload size limit for submission during e-filing is 500 MB. Once the filing has been accepted and the case created on the platform, users can upload a maximum file size of 1 GB for a single document, with a total upload size limit of 2 GB per upload.
The platform is integrated with an online payment system allowing for payment through credit cards and electronic wallets such as Alipay and WeChat Pay. If you experience issues with the online payment system, please consider other payment methods such as bank transfer. Users should also consider if any applicable regulatory restrictions in their home jurisdiction prevent such online payment if they face issues with online payment on Gateway.
SIAC Gateway is designed with our users in mind. While we are unable to customise Gateway for specific cases, we are constantly working on evolving Gateway to provide further features for use in your arbitration cases. We welcome feedback from our users on useful additional features that we can consider for further development of the Gateway. Please provide your feedback to the SIAC Case team in charge of your case or any member of SIAC.
Every case filed at SIAC will have a team of lawyers and administration staff from the SIAC Secretariat assigned to manage and administer the case. Details of the team assigned to your case along with their contact information will be made available to you upon acceptance of a filing by SIAC.
E-Filing Portal: Online Filing and Payment
Our electronic filing system on Gateway, via the E-filing Portal, allows you to submit your notice of arbitration, other pre-constitution applications such as emergency arbitrator applications, and any documents. You may also file other requests on Gateway such as requests for appointment of arbitrators in ad hoc arbitrations, requests for fundholding services, and requests for certification or authentication of awards or arbitration agreements.
Users remain free to file such documents either on Gateway or by email to casemanagement@siac-staging.cloudwps.net. However, if the filing is by email, you may be directed to upload your filing on Gateway in due course, after your email filing to SIAC.
Parties remain responsible for ensuring the delivery of any documents filed on Gateway, to any counterparties, in accordance with the applicable rules and laws.
Payments for electronic filings can be made via credit card, thanks to our system's integration with Stripe. We also accept Alipay and WeChat Pay. Alternatively, we accept bank transfers. Should you choose to pay by bank transfer, we will reach out to you following your electronic filing to assist with the bank transfer if it has not been completed already.
It is not necessary to pay the filing fee before e-filing although it is recommended that you do so simultaneously where possible.
A login is associated with a single email address for e-filing. For collaborative work, we recommend teams create a shared mailbox or a shared email account to facilitate collaboration on a single e-filing.
Once a case is successfully registered or commenced by SIAC, the SIAC team can add multiple users for access to the parties’ portal.

As soon as practicable after the constitution of the tribunal, typically in the tribunal’s first case management conference with parties, the tribunal is encouraged to discuss the use of Gateway and its scope with the Parties, including the following matters:
i) Whether Gateway will be used for uploading all submissions, correspondence and other documents (thereby maintaining a full record on Gateway) or only for certain filings, with other documents being shared by email or other methods.
ii) Whether Gateway’s email notifications (such as those set out at Annex 1 herein) indicating that a document has been uploaded will suffice or will the parties and the tribunal require a party filing a document to communicate such filing and uploading to everyone by way of a separate email.
iii) Whether correspondence and submissions in the arbitration ought to be sent by email, with supporting documents or bundles to be uploaded on Gateway.
Following such discussion, the tribunal ought to record the agreed scope of use of Gateway in a Procedural Order, to be uploaded on Gateway.
Please note that if parties and tribunal agree not to use Gateway, the SIAC Case Team will still upload all written communications (including emails, applications, submissions, witness statements, expert reports, procedural orders, decisions, awards, and other correspondence and documents) on Gateway so that the record of the arbitration is readily available for access, if necessary.
Yes, parties can continue to communicate via email, which remains a valid form of communication. However, we encourage using Gateway to upload correspondence, submissions, and documents in the arbitration for maintaining a readily accessible record of the arbitration, which in turn allows for better efficiency and streamlined case management.
Yes, users can use the same profile to access multiple arbitrations with SIAC. The platform will provide access to all previous and ongoing cases associated with the profile. For law firms and teams, a filing account may be set up, which will allow all users with the login details to e-file and access their cases.
Once in the case management phase, additional users can be added by SIAC, allowing for collaborative access. Users can also designate specific email addresses to be added by SIAC.
While Gateway facilitates electronic filings and ease of access by parties and tribunals, parties must still exercise due diligence regarding delivery and service requirements in accordance with any applicable laws. It is important to note that service of submissions, correspondence, and documents to any persons remains the responsibility of the relevant party. The platform is designed to enhance convenience, but normal methods of service may continue to be relevant depending on the terms of the agreement between parties, and any applicable laws.
Yes, parties are free to agree on the extent of their use of the platform. We encourage parties to discuss the use of Gateway with their tribunals at the outset of their arbitration. As the platform is designed to provide ease of access, and enhance efficiency in the arbitration process, we encourage parties and tribunals to use the platform.
Currently, the platform serves as an e-filing and document management system. At this stage, communications between the tribunal, SIAC, and parties may still occur outside the platform through email. However, there are plans to develop the platform into a more interactive tool that could facilitate real-time communication, including instant messaging and a more integrated case management experience. This is part of our vision for the future, where the platform evolves into a comprehensive, one-stop solution for case administration at SIAC.
Yes, users can upload, search, and filter documents within the platform. There are pre-set folder structures, although some folders are accessible only by SIAC. The platform is designed to accommodate various document management needs while maintaining certain controls to ensure security and organisation.
Yes, there is a document library within the platform. Users will have access to this library, but some folders are restricted to access by SIAC only. This setup ensures that confidential or sensitive information is appropriately managed.
If you encounter issues downloading documents, try refreshing the page and check if your permissions allow for download access.
If necessary, users should contact the SIAC Case Team in charge of your case to resolve any issues.
The platform includes an auto-scan feature for document uploads, ensuring that documents meet specific criteria before being accepted. The auto scan also vets for viruses in uploads. Please refer to the Gateway Terms and Conditions for the terms of use.
Parties and tribunals cannot delete or make amendments to the files once uploaded, and must request the SIAC Case Team in charge of the case for assistance to do so. Parties and tribunals can create their own folders but cannot shift documents within these folders. For better organisation, SIAC will categorise documents into relevant folder structures, which will be visible to the parties and the tribunal.
Users can utilise the search, filter, and upload features to manage their documents effectively.
No, the platform does not currently have a feature to flag documents as urgent. Users should rely on traditional methods of communication for urgent matters.
