About YSIAC
Young SIAC (YSIAC) aims to promote the use of international arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, both regionally and internationally, and to provide a platform for young professionals to work together to address the unique challenges faced by the legal and business communities across a diverse range of Asian jurisdictions and cultures.
In line with YSIAC’s growing global reach, the YSIAC Committee has been restructured as the YSIAC Council to strengthen engagement, enhance outreach, and increase opportunities for ground-up initiatives.
The YSIAC Council is the central steering and co-ordinating body for YSIAC, which has grown to more than 7,000 members from all around the world. The YSIAC Council is led by Co-Chairs, with regional committees in APAC, Americas, and EMEA led by Regional Leads. The full list of YSIAC Council members may be found here.
The objectives of YSIAC are:
- To provide a platform to encourage and promote events and initiatives for nurturing and giving opportunities to young arbitration practitioners all over the world as counsel, arbitrators, tribunal secretaries and speakers
- To provide a global platform for up and coming arbitration practitioners to forge deep international networks;
- To contribute to building thought leadership in the arbitration community;
- To organise events and activities with SIAC; and
- To promote SIAC and SIAC’s rules and procedures.
