The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) is pleased to announce that we have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law (HCMULAW).
The MOU was signed on 24 April 2024 by Ms Gloria Lim, Chief Executive Officer of SIAC, and Dr Le Truong Son, Rector of HCMULAW. Under the MOU, SIAC and HCMULAW will work together to place law students from HCMULAW in internships at SIAC. Both parties will also explore the possibility of developing or conducting university modules, joint training courses, seminars, and workshops in Vietnam to promote the development and practice of international arbitration.
Dr Le Truong Son, Rector of HCMULAW, said, “SIAC is one of the world’s top arbitral institutions, and we are confident that through this collaboration, we will be able to gain fruitful achievements, and with the SIAC Module, internship and other joint programmes, offer HCMULAW students first hand institutional perspective of international arbitration.”
Ms Gloria Lim, CEO of SIAC, said, “SIAC is pleased to be entering into this collaboration with HCMULAW, which will support the development and nurturing of our next generation of arbitration practitioners, through internship opportunities with SIAC and joint training programmes that will provide useful exposure to the practice of international arbitration.”
