The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) is pleased to welcome the new Young SIAC (YSIAC) Council and Co-Chairs.
Mr Benson Lim and Ms Jennifer Lim will serve as the new Co-Chairs of the YSIAC Council. Both had formerly served as APAC Regional Leads on the YSIAC Council.
YSIAC is a global platform for young arbitration practitioners to forge deep international networks, develop their arbitration practices, and build thought leadership in the arbitration community. The YSIAC Council is the central steering and co-ordinating body for YSIAC, and is led by Co-Chairs, with regional committees in APAC, Americas, and EMEA led by Regional Leads.
Nine new members will join the YSIAC Council, and will serve for a two-year term. These new members are: Ms Tine Abraham, Mr Kingshuk Banerjee, Ms Fatima Ghaith, Mr Alan Li, Mr Liu Xin, Ms Zeina Obeid, Mr Xing Chengdong, Ms Mariana Zhong and Ms Zhu Yixuan. Selected YSIAC Council members will take on roles as Regional Leads.
The YSIAC Council comprises a diverse group of lawyers, arbitrators, academics, and in-house counsel from 29 jurisdictions. The members of the new YSIAC Council are set out below:

In 2023, the former YSIAC Committee was restructured as the YSIAC Council to strengthen engagement, enhance outreach, and increase opportunities for ground-up initiatives. To facilitate the transition, selected members had continued their term on the YSIAC Council for an additional year, and will now be stepping down.
